Keyword Research
The Ask Enquiro blog has just posted a really useful article on keyword research, especially for business to business organisations. Finding the right keywords and phrases to use on your website can be challenging, but this useful article breaks it all down into manageable chunks and gets you to think about what your prospective customers are searching for, rather than the products you are actually selling.
In particular the section about understanding your audience is very important, if you don’t know who your target audience is then you can’t really begin to undertake keyword research to find out what kind of help they are looking for. So take a look at the article to find out more about keyword research and how it could help you to get your website found more easily.
Then if you’re looking for some sites to help you with keyword research, the following could be useful
- Wordtracker – this is the free version of their keyword research tool, but it still gives you access to the type of keywords and key phrases people are looking for
- Wordtracker question tool – You can put in a keyword and it tells you the type of questions people are asking
- Google Adwords Keyword Tool - You can find the main keywords people are searching for
- Link to an SEO article on our blog

Thanks Christine for you postive comments, we really are focused on building a great little marketing blog, so thanks for your support.
A good way to get keyword suggestions is to use Google Adwords keyword tool. First, you need an Adwords account. Then start a new PPC campaign for your site and use the keyword tool to find not only keywords that people have searched on but also their relative popularities.
